I am Carlo Ricohermoso and this is my website.

A hybrid of sorts, I finished High School in La Salle Green Hills (HS 2001) and graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a BS Computer Science degree (BS CS 2005). Presently, I'm working as a programmer/ web developer in some company in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. I've been a resident of Angono, Rizal (Art Captial of the Philippines) since birth, though I've stayed in Cervini Hall in Ateneo from 2003 to 2005.

I've been into web development since I was in High School. I've done about twenty-plus websites (both static and dynamic). The turning point of my love-affair with web development came in the form of our thesis entitled "Operation Demeter" which earned us tickets to various conferences and also is currently used by Ateneo students. This blog too is a product of my interest in web development which I coded from scratch and proud of it (with the help of Smarty, of course). I code both either PHP or C#. The geek side of me owns a PC for gaming, surfing, programming and other purposes, a Machintosh iBook for mobility, and a Sony Clie SJ/33-U (with KB-100 keyboard): my portable toy which I use to write blogs in my idle moments or while commuting.

I'm not only into computers though. I was also a track and field varsity player in both high school and college, and I competed in the 110m High Hurdles events in various tournaments such as the NCAA, UAAP, University Games, and the National Open. Nothing special in my stint but I always qualified in the final round of each tournament I joined in. Unfortunately an injury stopped my hurdling stint in my last year in college. I still hope to return to the track oval soon, in whatever way possible.

Basketball is another field of interest for me. I've been a fan of Philippine basketball (in general) since high school, and if I'm not watching basketball games on TV, I should be found watching live PBA games (A Die-Hard Ginebra fan here!) or UAAP games (Go Ateneo!) with my girlfriend Rocky (she's a she!). I'm usually found too shooting hoops at the basketball courts on weekends. Other basketball-related interests include writing basketball articles here in my blog or at Eastrombo: the blog with balls, collecting Philippine Basketball-related books and PBA Annuals, collecting authentic local basketball jerseys, and collecting blue basketball shoes by Accel.

Someday I hope to travel around the Philippines and visit all Starbucks Coffee outlets here in the country with Rocky. I also hope to read up ALL X-Men related stories or watch all super-hero cartoons so I can be inspired to save the world before bedtime (oh wait, that's for Powerpuff Girls). Finally, I hope to finish up my Cyclops toys collection and aim to be the most comprehensive Cyclops toy collector in the Philippines, or even the world (insert evil laughter here).

That should sum-up Carlo Ricohermoso for you: the indefatigable workhorse. I think I should rest.
